Leith Nippes, L.Ac.
Leith Nippes has always believed in the strong importance of community and helping those around him. His goal is to create an environment that will allow for trust, personal empowerment and the potential for genuine transformation.
Leith Nippes earned a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Leith attained advanced training in Traditional Japanese Medicine, including the art of gentle needling, moxibustion, Sotai, and Shiatsu. He also studied with the country’s leading instructors of Five Element Acupuncture and theory. To delve deeper into the medicine, he traveled to the Yunnan Province of China to study with top Daoist Physicians and Classical Chinese Medicine professors. Many years prior to receiving his medical education, he earned a Bachelor of Science from Gettysburg College in Exercise Science and Pre-Physical Therapy. While at Gettysburg, Leith was a Division III College Athlete and gained experience working in the training room. Leith is a licensed Acupuncturist in the states of Hawaii, Massachusetts and New Hampshire and is accredited by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Leith’s drive to continually learn and master his craft has changed the lives of countless patients over his years of practice. Although he enjoys working with a broad spectrum of medical conditions, physical medicine, post-stroke and pain relief have become both his passion and specialty. His particular interest in neuromuscular re-education has allowed him to help many people recover from chronic injuries and pain.
After considerable time immersed in the culture of Nepal, Leith was moved to establish a non-profit organization to address the country’s dire need for healthcare. He co-founded Acupuncture Relief Project to provide free healthcare to the people of Nepal primarily using acupuncture and Chinese herbs. The project recruits practitioners worldwide and gives them an opportunity to gain valuable field experience while making a positive impact on the local community. Leith has been certified by the NCCAOM to teach classes in order to provide practitioners with continuing education credits.
Anne Frances Hardy N.D, L.Ac
Dr Hardy never loses sight of the responsibility that comes with being entrusted with someone’s health. Many of her patients are looking for answers they have not found elsewhere, therefore she uses a big tool kit to diagnose and treat health imbalances. Her focus is on diet, life counseling, acupuncture, natural supplements, functional medicine tests, herbal remedies, homeopathy and many other effective therapies to reverse chronic disease and help her patients heal.
Dr. Anne Frances Hardy earned both a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine with high honors from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She then completed a 2-year medical residency through the Bastyr University Residency Program, with a focus of general family medicine, women’s health, and chronic diseases such as autoimmune diseases and cancer. In addition, Dr. Hardy took part in the Naturopathic Education and Research Consortium and was co-investigator for clinical trials studying natural remedies. Prior to attending medical school, she received a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology at the University of New England in southern Maine. She is licensed by the state of New Hampshire and Massachusetts and is nationally board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
In order to attain a clear and complete understanding of her patients’ health, she uses multiple forms of medical diagnosis, including naturopathic, functional medicine, Chinese and conventional western medical techniques. Her goal is to discover how all of your symptoms relate, in order to get to the root cause of your health condition.
She maintains a general family practice, and holds special interests in women’s health, hormonal imbalances, pediatrics, complementary cancer care, digestive issues, diabetes prevention, fertility enhancement, weight loss, chronic fatigue and autoimmune diseases. She enjoys treating the entire family, from babies to our mature adults.
She devotedly adheres to the naturopathic philosophical principle “Doctor As Teacher”. She believes it is important for her patients to understand the imbalance in their body, the cause and the solution.
Dr. Hardy returned home to New England in 2014 so her children could benefit from the love and attention of aunts, uncles and grandparents. Prior to this transition, Dr. Hardy taught master-level medical science courses at The Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii. These courses included Anatomy and Physiology, Pathophysiology I, II, III, Clinical Physical Diagnosis and Clinical Nutrition. She has given numerous health lectures to the general public and various organizations on topics such as women’s hormonal health, heart disease & diabetes support, whole body detoxification, stress prevention and weight loss. Dr. Hardy is available to give health talks and classes tailored to meet the needs of your community groups, businesses and organizations. She is extremely passionate about educating her patients and the public on how they can use natural medicine to improve their lives.
