Anne Frances Hardy N.D, L.Ac

Dr Hardy never loses sight of the responsibility that comes with being entrusted with someone’s health. Many of her patients are looking for answers they have not found elsewhere, therefore she uses a big tool kit to diagnose and treat health imbalances. Her focus is on diet, life counseling, acupuncture, natural supplements, functional medicine tests, herbal remedies, homeopathy and many other effective therapies to reverse chronic disease and help her patients heal.
Dr. Anne Frances Hardy earned both a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine with high honors from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon in 2010. As part of her studies, she traveled to China to study classical Chinese medicine, and Nepal to practice acupuncture in a non-profit health clinic. Following graduation, she completed a 2-year medical residency through the Bastyr University Residency Program, with a focus of women’s health, bioidentical hormone therapy and chronic diseases such as autoimmune diseases and cancer. In addition, Dr. Hardy took part in the Naturopathic Education and Research Consortium and was co-investigator for clinical trials studying natural remedies. Prior to attending medical school, she received a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology at the University of New England in southern Maine. She is licensed by the state of New Hampshire and Massachusetts and is nationally board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
In order to attain a clear and complete understanding of her patients’ health, she uses multiple forms of medical diagnosis, including naturopathic, functional medicine, Chinese and conventional western medical techniques. Her goal is to discover how all of your symptoms relate, in order to get to the root cause of your health condition.
She maintains a general family practice, and holds special interests in women’s health, hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorders, complementary cancer care, digestive issues, diabetes prevention, fertility enhancement, chronic fatigue and autoimmune diseases.
She devotedly adheres to the naturopathic philosophical principle “Doctor As Teacher”. She believes it is important for her patients to understand the imbalance in their body, the cause and the solution.
Dr. Hardy returned home to New England in 2014 so her children could benefit from the love and attention of extended family. Prior to this transition, Dr. Hardy taught master-level medical science courses at The Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii. She has been Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Board of Registration for Naturopathic Doctors since its conception in 2017. She has given numerous health lectures to the general public and various organizations on topics such as women’s hormonal health, heart disease & diabetes support, whole body detox, stress prevention and weight loss. She is extremely passionate about educating her patients and the public on how they can use natural medicine to improve their lives.
